What the Road Puts On
Between Every WashWe wash by hand — two buckets, our own spot-free water — so the I-496 salt and rail dust lift off the clear coat instead of getting ground across it the way a drive-through's brush and recycled hard water do. Then the ceramic seal goes down, and the next round of brine has nothing to key into before you're back on the highway Monday morning.
The I-496 and US-127 salt season
November through April, every commute throws a film of road brine and salt across the lower panels. Left there the whole season, it works into the clear coat and etches it.
Rail dust and industrial fallout
Fine metal dust from Lansing's rail lines and industry settles on the hood, roof, and trunk and rusts in place — the grit that leaves the paint rough to the touch.

- We'll tell you the truth about what a wash can't fix. Swirls and scratches need paint correction, not a wash. If your car needs a different service, we'll say so instead of taking your money.
What an Exterior Detail Won't Do
Because We'd Rather Tell You Up FrontAn exterior detail is the best your paint can look short of machine correction — and we'll tell you exactly where it stops before you book. Premium shops do this on purpose. Budget shops never do.
It Won't Remove Swirls or Scratches
A wash and sealant make your paint clean, glossy, and slick — but swirls, scratch marks, and etching live down in the clear coat, and only machine paint correction removes those. They're two different jobs, and we'll always tell you which one your car actually needs.

On a neglected finish, built-up grime can mask scratches, oxidation, and water spots. Once we wash it all away, those can show more clearly — not because we caused them, but because the dirt was covering them. On rougher cars we'll flag this from your photos before you book, so it's never a surprise.
The 3-Month Seal Isn't Long-Term Protection
The ceramic spray sealant on the Fresh Start makes your paint hydrophobic, so water beads and rinses off easier — for about three months. It's real, honest protection, but it isn't a years-long coating. If you want protection measured in years, that's a System X ceramic, and we'll tell you straight whether it's worth it for your car.
